JET SET Pet Carrier By Petego-MEDIUM-BLACK LABEL 19.7x9.8x10.6 Airline Approved & Car seat. Can be adapted to Motorbike, Moped & Bicycle Pet Carrier with connection kit, Sold Separate.ReviewsWith a plane trip I have a large 13 lb cat that I bought this bag for. The size was just right for him to stand and turn around. I traveled with this bag on American Airlines with no issue. Though the bag fit under the seat in front of me, it is a bit long. I was fortunate in that the person seated next to me did not have any carry-on luggage to stow as my bag did encroach into his space. The mesh ventilation is good and bad. Good in that it is sturdy and will not be easily torn. Bad in that the holes are very small, providing little air flow. My cat was damp when I finally landed and was able to pull him out. I believe it to be due to the humidity build up in the bag. The straps on the bag are awkward. The handle straps work ok. I was able to hold onto the bag this way for a while. Due to the size of the cat and his movement, it was hard to keep a steady balance. The shoulder straps were not that great. With a smaller pet, it might have been ok. When my cat would shift weight it would cause the bag to tip and my cat to slide to the bottom, resulting in the bag flipping on end. I ended up carrying him with two hands through the airport to try and keep the bag level. Overall. The bag is good. It works with a larger cat and met the airline's requirements, which is just what I needed. I bought the medium and large Jet Set pet carrier through Amazon for my Chihuahua and Dachshund after looking at all the other carriers in New York pet stores. I simply wanted an attractive and rugged dog carrier that could genuinely withstand the rigors of travel and protect my dogs against inevitable knocks and jolts. It needed to be well padded and offer far more protection than the most popular soft carrier but also be able to squeeze under an airplane seat. However at home, I needed something that wasn't so utilitarian that it needed to be shut away but instead could function as a subtle and sensible den. On the whole, I found almost all the competition either too feminine bordering on the stupid and/or too flimsy for serious consideration by anyone not just considering flying with a dog, but for any travel whether by car, subway or even bicycle! The Jet Set carriers have proven themselves as very tough and practical. I like their well padded interiors and simple tough exterior (though I wish they came in other colors especially black or dark brown). The floor, side walls and ceiling all have what feels like at least a half inch of foam padding on a semi-rigid backing. The interior padding is covered in a soft black cloth. I wish that the floor was removable or there was a fleece lining I could buy so I simply line it with newspaper and cover with an old folded bath mat. The exterior shell in tough thick ballistic nylon (that as I mentioned I wish came in other more muted colors). On either side are windows with roll-up cover flaps and both ends have zippered soft nylon mesh openings. These offer a good mix of ventilation and privacy that some other dog carriers don't - either too much or too little. Also my Dachshund has chewed through the soft plastic mesh of other brand dog carriers (that I was unhappy with for all the reasons I like the Jet Set) but at best, just flossed his teeth on the Jet Set's mesh. I completely endorse and recommend the Jet Set bag. I can't imagine there is a better dog carrier on the market - I certainly didn't find one in the dozen or more pet stores I visited in Manhattan ranging from Petco to very high end designer shops. They've performed amazingly well and at about $110 were excellent value for money especially compared to both cheaper and much more expensive carriers that look foolish and don't offer your dog enough protection on the move. I've seen some people on airplanes that have "fashion" dog bags that one could see were completely inadequate and inwhich the dog was uncomfortable and miserable. My dogs love their Jet Sets as dens at home (tucked under dining chairs in the corner of a room) and inasmuch seem just as relaxed and happy curled up/stretched out in them on the subway, in a plane or car. Robotique MajestiqueReviewsLike a mix of early Rod Stewart and A.R.E. Weapons. Or early Rolling Stones and Death From Above. Part electronic, part dance, part rock, but all raw funk to dance to. Less monotonous and more hype than LCD Soundsystem, but more 4/4 dance groove than Mars Volta. new music new voice new look exciting to see try it on good systym....... Still a good cd, but only a few songs were great. The middle five tracks have me hooked but other that its just ok The first 2 cd's are excellent. This one is just, ok. When you break it down, there are 10 tracks, 1 is an intro, 8 and 10 are repetitive instrumentals that just don't grab me. 7 is well, obnoxious and a pain to hear with headphones on but I'm sure it bangs in a club. I didn't think it really fit into the set as a whole. The rest of tracks are good, but really didn't hook me in like the previous 2 cd's. So basically, I've got 6 new tracks to dig. Maybe I need to play it more, but it's a let down for me. Heavy Heart and Dancing On My Grave are the only tracks I cared for and I thought the rest were boring and not as inventive as I expected after hearing the last discs. I stumbled onto this group just last week. I ordered all 3 at the same time! I'll give this one time to sink in. In my opinion, it sounds more like a debut than a third release. Ghostland Observatory is awesome. Don't just buy this one, buy the two earlier albums as well. Amazon please provide the digital version soon. Average Rating:![]() |

Only Texas could claim something as improbable as this: sweaty, raw-boned, and direct from the future; committed to electronics, stuck on big beats, yet unmistakably powered by rock 'n' roll. These guys share a love for Vince Young and Daft punk, Los Tigres del Norte, and The Animals... |

Paparazzi LightningReviewsAn enticing but short-lived contact high of femmed-out electro-soul which bares light replay value save for liberal glow stick wavers. try this newest mixture of exciting beats crazy vocal electronics but musical and unforgetable addictive yes.... upbeat yes....... dance at 2 am i got up to follow the dance unforgetable This CD is creative and different. It has unique beats with an electronic /punk feel. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! Ghostland Observatory brings a mix of electronic indie rock, influenced by bands like Daft Punk, for one. After their exciting and promising debut album "Delete. Delete. I. Eat. Meat.", singer Aaron Behrens and producer/drummer Thomas Turner came back in 2007 with this second album. "Paparazzi Lightning" (10 tracks, 39 min.) builds on the sound of the first album, but with better results. The album consists mostly of shorter tracks, including the excellent radio track "Sad Sad City", and the album buzzes by in no time, but the "piece the resistance" is the last track of the album, the 9+ min. "Midnight Voyage", which brings it all home, an excellent stomp between the drum machines, synthesizers and guitar solos, you just never want the track to end! In early 2008, the band released a third album "Robotique Majestique", which was a little bit of a disappointment for me, as it is not quite on the same level as "Paparazzi Lightning". That said, if you haven't seen Ghostland Observatory in concert, you haven't experienced the band at its best. Live they are absolutely killer. I've seen them in concert several times, most recently last week at the Langerado Festival, and they again were absolutely fabulous, with "Mighnight Voyage" as the absolute highlight. Not to be missed if you have a chance to see them! ghostland rocks my socks. It's like nothing I've ever heard before, and they have one hell of a stage presence. If I had three thumbs, I'd put them all up for this band. Average Rating:![]() |

Delete. Delete. I. Eat. Meat.Reviewsthis cd is great, its there best one in my opinion! The other 2 are good but i can listen to this one all the way through. this is one of the best and most orginal albums i've ever heard. this is really great band, the cd does not do it, you must see them live, its a experience. if you like good music you'll love this. they are kinda like(electronic chill dance rock) you will want to move Ah! So good! Electronica-Funk-Pop! This is what VHS or Beta would sound like if they were less melodic... but I'm not saying that's a bad thing. This cd is a little rough starting up, but it gets better, and so do their other cds! looking for something exciting raw new mixed cant quitplace it anywhere just you will know it when you hear it and see them perform no not perform feel it. What would a robot making love to a tree sound like? Well, if you ask Aaron Behrens and Thomas Turner, they'll reply, "Ghostland Observatory!" Behrens is the front man, guitar player, vocalist, and dancer extrordinare. Turner is the keyboardist and drummer. He also produces. Together they create Ghostland Observatory. Another little `ol band from Texas. Correction! As it states on their web site, "Ghostland Observatory is not a band, but an agreement between two friends to create something that not only heals their beat-driven hearts, but pleases their rock `n roll souls." Amen to that! And can I have a Hallelujah?! On their MySpace page they say the were influenced by such greats as Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, David Bowie, The Doors, anyone with balls! All of the previously named artists had that in common. Let's take Johnny Cash for instance. Did anyone ever see him doing a Trent Reznor song? Not only did he do that, He did it better than anyone has. If you can listen to him sing `Hurt' with out crying, well, your dead already, so forget it! Ballsy! That's how their label, Trashy Moped Recordings, refers to it. And that's what Ghostland Observatory is. I was going to write about their album `Delete Delete-I Eat Meat' , but have decided to just write about this band. I love their sound, and if you could imagine a robot making love to a tree... Well I can hear that in their music. Mechanical, yet earthy. The first time I ever saw or even heard of these guys was on Austin City Limits. They had me at the first note almost. Watching Behrens perform was reminiscent of Jim Morrison or Mick Jagger yet his gyrations were his own. Those gyrations add to the enjoyment of hearing them. His dancing about the stage only adds an energy to the performance and makes it all their own. Right now I'm listening to 'Heavy Heart' from their latest album, 'Robotique Majestique'. It sounds like a what might happen if Prince were to mate with Led Zeppelin and Emerson, Lake, and Palmer. Rock n' Roll with a lot of soul! You have the earthy voice for Behrens complimented by the very methodical and mechanical sound of Turner's synthesizer. Truly amazing! Their music is difficult to categorize, but if I had to label it I'd call it `funky techno rock'. Sometimes they'll have a very definite techno side, sometimes it will be straight up R & B. Most often, however , their music will be a combination of both. Behrens has one of those voices that will be memorable for decades to come. I'm sure a major label will pick them up at some point. That will be great for this duo. Hopefully it will be great for the fans. It will be, so long as they don't get overly produced. Over production seems to occur far to often when a band goes to a major label. The duo has released 3 albums since 2004. `Delete Delete-I Eat Meat', the first, was released in 2005. It was followed by `Paparazzi Lightning' released in 2006. Their latest release is the fore mentioned `Robotique Majestique' released in March of this year. All were released on Turner's label Trashy Moped Recordings (trasymoped.com). I think Aaron and Thomas of Ghostland Observatory are geniuses. "delete delete - I eat meat" is a simply-written, eloquent album with even more lush-sounding synthesizers and extra-ordinary vocalizations than the first album. (Get the first album, too! And the Austin DVD! And tickets!) Rhythms are smooth and straightforward, nothing heavy or too intense, more pleasurable, relaxing dance beats - and fun. (I love to do yoga to Ghostland.) I find the compositions to be one of the best things I've ever heard, soon to be the envy of other artists (such as Madonna, who only hires the "best"), those who make their approaches to electronica more complicated than it needs to be. "Candy Rider", "Silver City" and "Rich Man", among others, are songs that stick with you, and you'll remember. I remember being in third grade, in the 1960's...! One day our teacher rolled a phonograph into the classroom and said - "Listen to this, everybody... This is what music is going to sound like some day in the future!" She proceeded to play an LP with a bunch of be-beep-bop sounds, and sounds that "weee-ee-dooop!" and tinkerbell noises. The children gathered around the machine, wrinkling their noses. "But how will they ever make music with these sounds?" we asked. "Don't worry about it," our teacher said. "Someday, everyone will be doing it!" We just couldn't see it. Imagine how thrilled we were years later, as teenagers, when the soundtrack to "Clockwork Orange" came out - we couldn't get enough of it. But even then, there was a general awareness that it would take a real talent to generate original music with synthesizers. And many have been more redundant than successful. Consider pop music... Take the Rolling Stones - primitive beats and simple lyrics that are very much in the vein of "now", and therefore classic and timeless. The kind of music that puts you into a different space. Bowie and Eno's randomizing of lyrics and beats does the same thing... Aaron Behrens' on guitar can achieve similar power comparable to Bowie's friend, Reeves Gabrels. (Contrast this to bands like Depeche Mode, and The Cure, whose lyrics and sounds become depressed with time.) Even The Doors screwed themselves over, not allowing themselves to expand beyond the scope of traditional music composition! Jim Morrison was set on being a great "poet"... But by needing to put across those "deep and meaningful messages", he not only got boring - he burned out. I don't see this happening for Ghostland Observatory. I think GLO has mastered a kind of ritual-art sound that makes for a great psychic detach. I like all these pieces; they make me feel hopeful and happy; they provide lots of good, certainly spiritual, shamanistic energy. This music is a recourse you can turn to whenever you're tired of everyone else's b.s.! These two young guys are "they" - the ones are are making the music of the future. They will be around for a long time! Average Rating:![]() |

No Fog Goggles Jeep MX Motocross Moto Scooter Vespa Ski Safety BicycleReviewsRed glass has absolutely no sun protection. Also, the glasses becomes fogged very fast. But for this money, maybe it's OK. I loved the style and fit of these goggles, but I bought them to use while skiing. It stated that they would not fog, but I had problems with them fogging the first time I used them. I will try to wipe them with the anti-fog wipes and see if that helps the next time. These are very comfortable and functional, they worked just like I needed them to for most situations. I was in very intense sandstorms with no visibility more than three feet in front of you, so I was pretty impressed that, for the most part, it kept the dirt out of my eyes. Sometimes it still managed to get through, but I think for the conditions I was in I definitely needed something more heavy duty anyway. These are great goggles for most situations. A pretty decent pair of goggles for the cheap price tag, but I'm a bit nervous that the padding won't last too long. They can also get pretty uncomfortable after wearing them for a long time, but overall I'm pleased, despite these setbacks. They're not aviator goggles but they certainly do to job, protect from the sun and bright glare, keep out debris, dust, bugs and what not. You can see through high winds. Gets a little uncomfortable after wearing it for a long while. Average Rating:![]() |

X-Treme Scooters High Performance Electric Scooter (Black)ReviewsWe order this scooter in dec.2009 and we received it within 5 days(quicker than expected). Packaging was perfect and everything was inside it. The only problem (and we expected to have at least one problem according to other customers reviews) was that after second time out and not more than 6 miles total, it died on us. So we decided to contact the company that deals with these scooters and email them our concern. To make the story shorter, we exchanged several emails (the only time we had to wait for an answer was because it was a weekend) and checked everything we could check on the scooter. It was quite curteous in the exchange of emails and within a week we had the problem part in our hands. Either we are lucky or this company improved its customer relationship. Anyway, it was quite easy to replace the part and everything function fine since. We enjoy it, it does what is supposed to do and it's fun. Easy to transport in a car. We added lights for safety and an old style horn and have a ball being kids again (we are in our 50's & 60's).We can use it either sitting or standing for those with balance. I purchased this scooter as an upgrade from a Razor E300. I was impressed with the suspension system, but thats where it ended. After several modifications I can now say that I thoroughly enjoy and rely daily on this scooter. Some of the components on this scooter are so inadequate that they should never have been installed in the first place. First of all the drive wheel does NOT have a fly wheel clutch, so when you release the throttle instead of coasting you immediately and abruptly begin to slow down. As a result you use more battery power and your charge does not last as long. Secondly, the brakes on this scooter while looking impressive are inadequate. Thirdly, the recharging jack and recharger are very tempermental. If you intend to buy this scooter here are the steps you can take to improve its functionality and your enjoyment. All of the parts added and changed were from a Razor E300. First remove the rear tire, chain and brake assembly from the Razor (and get 5/16th flat washers). Then (for ease of installation remove the plastic cover) from the Xtreme scooter remove the wheel, chain, and brake. The brake cable can be installed into the brake from the razor, use the washers to center the wheel on the axle and ensure that the chain is perfectly straight from the motor to the gears. You must drill a hole through the frame of the Xtreme scooter through to the brake housing hole from the Razor. A 1/4 stove bolt, lock washer, 1/4 flat washers and nylon lock nut work perfectly. The front brake on the Xtreme can be removed it's NOT needed. Remember to remove the brake cable and hand control as well. The charger plug and charging jack for the Xtreme are crap as well. The Jack from the Razor is easily installed into the body of the Xtreme just below the existing jack, just drill a new hole and solder the connections. All I did for the plug was cut the old plug off the razor charger and solder it onto the Xtreme chargers cord. These are the upgrades that mostly increased the usability of this scooter. I Have also added wheel covers front and aft to eliminate tire spray. The kickstand will probably break on you as it did for me but that is not a concern for me. One last thing the throttle broke after about two months and I installed a half grip throttle that I ordered. With the half grip I was able to use the old grip from the Razor that holds the valve extender inflation tool. If you choose to buy this scooter I'd say it's a good choice but be prepared to spend a bit more making it perfect. I can send pics of the upgrades to you just let me know. I hope this has been helpful Cris cnastasiataoldotcom Great way to get around for a mildly handicapped individual. Should be able to purchase under medicare with the proper paper work. One fault I found, is the tire valve stem is not long enough to adjust tire air pressure. The valve extension supplied, is not usable to adjust tire air pressure. Battery compartment is too tight. Extremely difficult to reinstall the batteries in the enclosed bag within the compartment. The electronics of the scooter should be enclosed in a water proof compartment. Wish the scooter had a longer run time. Other than the minor faults I listed, I really like this scooter. The inital concept is for a younger user. I am a retired person with a mild handicapp. I guess with time comes improvement. Oh yeah!! Maybe they can include a travel basket with the scooter The description of this item states that shipping is included but then when you place it in your basket a shipping charge of about $40 is added to the price. I bought it on mid September 2008 from NeoScooter as a project to commute from work and home to the train station, both distances are about a mile and also to ride it to go to local stores for lunch, an average of 8 miles round trip. It rides well and holds the charge, you can go up the hills ( not to steep ) as advertised but at slower pace. I would give it 5 * but the quality is not there yet ( Chinese product ), some of the wiring could be pinched under the battery pack, the rest of the wiring is bunched and can also be cut between the deck and the frame when closing the battery compartment. Also to hold the deck in place the manufacture uses Velcro, and the warranty is only 30 days. This is a bad thing turn into a good thing, it is heavy ( 75 lb.) what makes it stable when riding over gravel roads. But not to good when you have to lift it to get on the train using the steps. Is a good product overall for the price. I will update review in 2 months. Green commuter Average Rating:![]() |
